This garden became a work in progress all summer, as I moved many of my perennials from Punkhorn Farm into this community space to show examples of permaculture using regenerative gardening with edible and medicinal plants. It was a redesign, but I have now ended that account and will be moving the garden to a new location where I will be building a food forest. Since it was a redesign, the original layout was not ideal. My goal was to build soil, sheet mulch extensively, educate volunteers and community, and expand on what existed previously. The garden space is greatly improved with the added diversity, mulch, cover cropping, and use of other regenerative methods. I also applied regenerative methods inside the greenhouse by under cropping through cash crops, and mulching with existing plants and materials. I applied permaculutre methods when dealing with pests, and used no till when rotating crops.
